STANLIB offers a Graduate Development Programme as an investment in people from diverse and previously disadvantaged backgrounds, contributing to skills development in the wider asset management industry.
Upon joining STANLIB, the graduates complete a two-week induction, at both Liberty and STANLIB, where they are familiarised with the company structures, systems and processes.
In phase two, the graduates familiarise themselves with the business by spending time in the various business units on a rotational basis. They are also exposed to both on and offsite training in industry knowledge, people, communication and client service skills. Learning includes instructor-led computer-based training as well as mentoring and coaching. The training provided addresses the business needs of both STANLIB and the wider asset management industry.
STANLIB provides a working environment that encourages graduates to share their ideas and provide input to their colleagues and managers. Mentors are allocated, including senior managers and directors, to assist them throughout the training programme. The extensive networking opportunities offered help graduates to learn, grow and identify the niche area in which they would like to forge a career.
Upon expiry of the training contract, the graduates would be considered for full time employment with STANLIB, should a possible position be available.
